The Carnival Cruise Line is returning to Port Canaveral after its workers were forced to stay in New Orleans for weeks due to Hurricane Isaac.

The when will carnival sail again is a topic that is relevant to the travel category. Carnival Cruise Lines has announced that it will be returning to Florida after housing workers in New Orleans.

After being utilized to house employees in New Orleans, the Grand Classica cruise ship run by Florida-based Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line is on her way back home. This vessel’s cruise activities will resume on Sunday.

The Grand Classica has completed her charter and is returning home.

The Grand Classica cruise ship has been utilized to accommodate approximately 600 employees in New Orleans who are assisting with the restoration of electricity to the area since September 6, 2021. At the end of August, Hurricane Ida struck the state of Louisiana, including the metropolis of New Orleans, knocking out electricity to millions of people.

The cruise line agreed to accommodate employees from Entergy Corporation, a Louisiana power provider, so that electricity could be restored.

“We are pleased that we, together with our charter customer, Entergy, were able to assist hundreds of Hurricane Ida victims who were left without electricity and resources,” stated Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line President Kevin Sheehan Jr. “We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding at this period, and we look forward to welcome them back aboard this Sunday when our commercial sailings to Grand Bahama Island resume.”

The cruise liner has already left New Orleans and is on its way back to the Port of West Palm Beach in Florida after almost a month in the city. Grand Classica is presently in the Gulf of Mexico, according to Cruise Ship Tracker, and is expected to return on Sunday morning (September 26).

Short two-night round-trip trips to Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas will be offered by the vessel. The cruise departs from Florida at 5:30 p.m. and spends the most of the day at Grand Bahamas, returning at 4:30 p.m.
