The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse series has been a Disney mainstay since 2006, but it wasn’t until last year that the House of Mouse expanded its family-friendly offerings to include a more adult-focused part of the theme park. The new land, Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ “Disney’s Hollywood Hotel”, will feature new attractions and entertainment, including The Hollywood Tower Hotel, a High-Rise venue that lets visitors experience the excitement of Tinseltown.

Disney has never been averse to straddling the line when it comes to what is deemed suitable for the family audience versus adult audiences. Many of the entertainment company’s offerings are family friendly, but there are still plenty of adult-only areas and events. The company’s new cruise ship, Disney Magic, will soon set sail from the Port of Los Angeles for a “family-oriented” cruise sailing in the Western Caribbean.

At a recent press conference, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the upcoming D23 Expo would offer adult-only spaces aboard their Disney cruise ships. The announcement was met with a split reaction, with some cheering Disney’s decision, while others criticized it as a step too far for a family-oriented company. In response, Disney’s president of parks and resorts, Tom Staggs, told the media that the cruise ships would be positioned differently than other Disney properties.

Onboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Wish, adults will have just as much fun as children. This ship caters to children of all ages with all-new spa experiences, themed lounges, adults-only spaces, and specialized cuisine.

From the Quiet Cove Pool area to the famous Palo Steakhouse, Disney Cruise Line is recognized for developing excellent adults-only spaces aboard each of its cruise ships. However, with the new Disney Wish, set to launch in summer 2022, they’re raising the ante.

Each location on board the ship has its own narrative.

Adults can relax in lounges like the Keg & Compass, Nightingale’s, The Bayou or the highly anticipated Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge.

The Keg & Compass is a pub themed to be reminiscent of Norse Sea folklore. Intricate carvings, portholes and an expansive mystical sea map covers the ceiling. Be on the lookout for favorite characters like Ursula and Moana in the painting while enjoying exclusive craft brews and watching live sports.

Guests may enjoy handcrafted drinks and fine wines while listening to the piano at Nightingales. The Grand Hall is the idea for this contemporary lounge.

The Bayou, which transports tourists to New Orleans and the adjacent wetlands, is less formal. Guests are greeted by bronze sculptures of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen while they sip speciality coffees, beignets, and adult-only drinks. There will likely be live entertainment as well.

In the evenings, the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge will be exclusively for adults, who will board a well-appointed spacecraft equipped with unique beverages. Guests will be enthralled as they go through hyperspace and explore the galaxy.

Palo Steakhouse and Enchante, two adults-only restaurants, will also be accessible. Palo Steakhouse is modeled after the popular Italian restaurant Palo, which can be found on other Disney Cruise Line ships. Chef Arnaud Lallement, who has three Michelin stars, will be at the helm of Enchante, providing customers with an unrivaled fine dining experience.

Adults may unwind throughout the day in the Quiet Cove Pool District, which is only open to those 18 and above, or at the all-new Outdoor Oasis at Senses Spa.

Adults may really rest in peace with whirlpools, loungers, and other amenities. At the Untangled Salon or Hook’s Barbery, guests may continue to be pampered. Even if you don’t intend on getting a haircut, you should pay a visit to Hook’s Barbery since it has a secret bar with sponsored samples.

The Disney Wish may be booked now via Disney Cruise Line or through your preferred travel adviser.

Walt Disney World has announced its newest resort, Disney Springs, will feature several adult-only venues that will include restaurants, lounges, golf, bowling, spa and more. The new restaurants include an upscale steakhouse, a mega-club with live music, and a new clubhouse called Morimoto Asia where a chef will debut a new menu with Asian influences. The new bowling lanes will have lanes shaped like Mickey Mouse ears and Cinderella’s castle, and a new spa will include a private cabana. Disney Springs will add 3600 more hotel rooms, more than 200 shopping and dining venues, and more than 1,500,000 square feet of Disney-themed retail space, and is expected to be completed in 2017..
