Marin Cilic became a father for the first time on Monday, with his wife Jelena giving birth to their first child. The tennis player has been one of the most dominant players in recent years, winning three grand slam titles and reaching the final at Wimbledon last year.

Marin Cilic became a father for the first time on July 1st. He and his wife, Mirjana Lucic-Baroni, welcomed their son, Stefan Cilic Jr., to the world.

31st of January 2020 Marin Cilic, a Croatian tennis player, became a father for the first time on Friday. 


Kristina Cilic, Cilic’s wife, gave birth to a newborn boy at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Zagreb on Friday. 

On social media, the Croatian Tennis Association welcomed the new parents. “Marin’s wife Kristina gave birth to a baby boy this morning, which will brighten up the start of the new tennis season:”  

According to the Daily Jutarnji list, the birth went off without a hitch. 

Cilic had been in Melbourne earlier this month, making it to the last 16 of the Australian Open before losing to Milos Raonic on Sunday. 

In the summer of 2018, Cilic married his longtime girlfriend Kristina Milkovic in Cavtat. In front of family and friends, the pair married in Sveti Nikola Church in Cavtat, southeast of Dubrovnik.

Cilic, who reached a career high of No. 3 in the world in 2018, has won 18 ATP singles championships, including the 2014 US Open Grand Slam. In 2018, he and Croatia won the Davis Cup.
