MSC Cruises’ first guest cruise in almost 18 months is another step toward the company’s aim of resuming service with more than half of its fleet by the end of the summer. Its return to the United States also marks the start of a countdown to fresh new routes and ships set to arrive in North American waters this autumn.
MSC Cruises USA President Rubén Rodrguez said, “As of today, we have the pleasure of showcasing our world-class experiences to U.S. guests, offering them the cruise experience they know and love with upscale dining, dynamic entertainment, and immersive activities, including our new private natural paradise, Ocean Cay.”
“It’s been a long journey, and we’re thrilled to see demand continuing to rise as cruisers want to return to the sea. We are certain that they will enjoy the rich onboard experience for which we are renowned, while also feeling secure in the knowledge that their health and safety are our top priorities.”
Today’s four-night trip is the first in a series of three- and four-night Bahamas excursions, with the ship switching to seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises on September 18.
The four-night Bahamas cruises include overnight stays in Nassau and Ocean Cay. The cost of a balcony cabin starts at $269 per person.

Guests will not be required to get a vaccination, but unvaccinated travelers will face extra regulations and limitations.
