Greater Fort Lauderdale is known for its glamorous, sun-kissed beaches, exciting nightlife, and white sand, to say nothing of the world-class shopping and dining. But if you listen to Greater Fort Lauderdale’s official website, you’d think all there is to do in the city is swim, play, shop, dine, and drink. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau has finally come to its senses, and has begun work on a new campaign that will highlight the city’s diversity.
Greater Fort Lauderdale has an awesome name, but not everyone knows about it. To spread the word about the destination, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a new ad campaign called “Greater Fort Lauderdale: Diversity is our Greatest Strength.” The campaign highlights the destination’s diverse culture with images of people from many different backgrounds, along with the tagline “Diversity is our greatest strength.” The campaign was developed by the Miami-based firm BPGM, which also created the signature “It’s So Nice” tagline that has been used by the destination since 2010. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau has rebranded Visit Lauderdale with the slogan Everyone Under the Sun, reflecting the diversity of the destination.
We have an incredibly diverse and inclusive community that literally welcomes everyone under the sun, and that message is now present in all of our marketing efforts when we invite people to visit Lauderdale, said Stacy Ritter, president and CEO of Visit Florida.

To convey a new brand message, Visit Lauderdale unveiled a mural, All Under the Sun, created by Avi Ram, an internationally known airbrush artist.
Everyone Under the Sun, from Gulf Stream Brewing Company in Fort Lauderdale, was also featured in Lauderdale.
To promote the new brand, hotels and attractions in the Fort Lauderdale area have been branded with the new Visit Lauderdale logo.
We have 31 communities in Broward County and they are all unique and vibrant with their own culture, flavor and activities, Ritter said. Our largest city, Fort Lauderdale, is just one of these 31 cities, but the Lauderdale name is the best known. This helps us put the entire Broward County area on the map for visitors.
