Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas will join a growing fleet of ships sailing in British waters this summer.

From 15. In July, the ship, described by Royal Caribbean as a favorite in the region, will sail a series of cruises of four to eight nights from Southampton.  Sailfish is only available to fully vaccinated UK residents. All crew members will also be vaccinated.

The program begins in early July with four-day ocean cruises, followed by five- to eight-day cruises to the British Isles, calling at ports such as Belfast, Liverpool and Kirkwall.

The first cruises will have special guests on board. In recognition of its efforts to combat the pandemic, Royal Caribbean is offering 999 staterooms for key personnel in the health, social services and military sectors. The number is no coincidence: 999 is the British equivalent of the North American emergency number 911.

The new routes will be available from the 7th. April can be booked. They are currently only available to UK residents over 18 who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to those under 18 who have tested negative. Cruise Line states that these restrictions may change over time.

Details of health and safety measures on board will be announced at a later date, the press release said. The interventions are carried out by scientists and managed by the Sailing Health Team, the Public Health Officer and the Chief Medical Officer of the Royal Caribbean Group, as well as local authorities and health authorities.

The United Kingdom is a country that is very close to our hearts at Royal Caribbean. We miss our British guests and look forward equally to cruises from Southampton, said Michael Bailey, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International.

We welcome the recent announcements from the UK government regarding cruising and look forward to sailing again on a phenomenal and popular ship like Anthem of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean’s new British yachts continue the cruise line’s measured return to sailing. In just a few months, Quantum of the Seas has managed to get 50,000 guests to travel the short distance to Singapore. Royal Caribbean also recently announced cruise plans for Odyssey of the Seas from Haifa, Israel, Pearl of the Seas from Cyprus, Adventure of the Seas from the Bahamas and Vision of the Seas from Bermuda.

Since the UK government announced that restrictions on domestic flights from 17… Can be relaxed, cruise lines of all shapes and sizes are producing a flurry of announcements about UK summer programs.

These include Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Cunard, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises, Viking and Fred. Olsen Cruz Lines. Although the market seems overcrowded, most vessels operate at a limited capacity.

Early indications suggest that demand is high: Viking’s UK routes sold out before they went on sale, and interest in P&O Cruises caused the website to collapse when the first UK flights went on sale.

Anthem of the Seas offers many amenities to keep guests entertained.

  • The ship features the SeaPlex, the largest indoor area for outdoor activities at sea, with bumper cars, roller skates and much more. There are adrenaline-boosting activities such as iFly’s RipCord skydiving, the FlowRider surf simulator and the North Star capsule, an all-glass observation pod that offers a view of the British coastline 300 feet above the ground.
  • Anthem of the Seas offers a wide range of complimentary and specialty restaurants, including Wonderland, featuring quirky and unconventional cuisine; Chop Grille, a classic American steakhouse; and Izumi, where guests can sample Far Eastern flavors and fresh sushi.
  • The Tony Award-winning West End production of We Will Rock You takes centre stage at the Royal Theatre, while the Music Hall has been described as the hippest concert venue by the sea. In addition, the Anthem of the Seas features a Two70 meeting room that combines art, multimedia and technology. As part of the technology, guests can enjoy drinks mixed by two robotic bartenders at the Bionic Bar.

It is not yet known whether Royal Caribbean guests will be limited to organized excursions or whether they can explore on their own. But you’ll also have the chance to discover Liverpool, home of the Beatles, Kirkwall in Scotland, where you can explore Orkney’s Viking heritage, and Belfast, the vibrant capital of Northern Ireland.
