Royal Caribbean International has announced plans to sail not only from Nassau but also from Bermuda this summer.

For the first time, Vision of the Seas will offer a series of seven-night cruises from Bermuda from June to August 2021. Passengers spend a night in Bermuda to experience the culture, history and cuisine. Then head south to spend a full day on Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

We are grateful to the government and people of Bermuda for welcoming us with open arms to their beautiful island nation as the new home of Vision of the Seas. This is another step in our safe and deliberate return to sailing from June, said Michael Bailey, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International.

Travelers are eager to gradually start a journey and get back on the road. By adding a second unique option to sail the Caribbean from a place as rich and vibrant as Bermuda, we are offering our clients the choice to enjoy a well-deserved vacation this summer.

In Bermuda, Vision of the Seas will be the home port of the Royal Shipyard. From here, cruisers can enjoy the island’s pink sand beaches, world-class golf and charming, colorful homes. Before or after their trip, travelers can extend their stay by staying at one of Bermuda’s world-class hotels and resorts.

Bermuda has managed the revival of the tourism industry through aviation safely and responsibly, and we are determined to do the same for the cruise industry. We look forward to the unveiling of Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas in June as part of the strategic planning for the revival of tourism on the island, which, as always, is informed by science, said Premier, the Honourable David Burt, Member of Parliament for Bermuda.

Specific details of the health and safety measures that will be applied during these trips to Bermuda will be announced at a later date. Royal Caribbean continues to be guided in its health and safety protocol by the scientific and medical experts of the Healthy Sails Group, a joint venture between Royal Caribbean Group and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

Passengers in Bermuda must comply with requirements for travel to Bermuda, which currently include a negative PCR test prior to travel and a test on arrival.

New routes from Bermuda for summer 2021 will be launched on the 29th. March 2021 is open for bookings and starts as early as the 26th. June. All crew members are vaccinated, as well as adult guests. Passengers under the age of 18 may drive with a negative COVID-19 test. These and other health and safety measures may be developed as they are evaluated.
