The newly constructed AC Hotel by Marriott is centrally located overlooking Tallahassee’s historic Cascade Park. This is where the marker for Florida’s first meridian is. It is considered to be the place where the origins of the city and the state were discussed and debated.
There are jogging tracks, an outdoor concert stage and a swimming area for children. The hotel has a rooftop bar and observation deck with breathtaking views.

If you’re in the mood for a cocktail and a bite before dinner or a delicious dessert after, Charlie Park is the place to be. This stylish bar on the AC Hotel’s rooftop terrace offers shareable platters of freshly prepared dishes from talented chefs. This concert hall offers blues and rock’n’roll under the stars. The BBC, as the locals call it, is a historic one-room cinderblock hall that hosts a variety of groups and audiences. A fire burns in the backyard while catfish and pasta are prepared to perfection, accompanied by local beer. This hidden gem is a trip back in time that you should not miss.
The Tallahassee Museum offers hours of outdoor exploration and fun. There is something to do for all ages, including the tree-to-tree zip line. If you want to take it easy, you can stroll through the gardens, the living exhibitions and the animal enclosures. The Florida Capitol Historical Museum is located in the original Capitol building, built in 1902. The new building was constructed in the late 1970s, while the original building was to be demolished. But the locals gave up on the idea and managed to save it. The old architecture has been preserved, next to which is a more recent tower. An informative stop for anyone interested in the history and politics of the state.

Outdoor recreation and shopping
The Railroad Square Craft House is located in the heart of Tallahassee’s artistic and creative district. It is surrounded by over 70 funky shops and galleries and hosts festivals, exhibitions and art classes. You will find creative artists willing to teach their techniques, such as. B. Quia Z. Atkinson, whose liquid resin paintings include free-form abstract creations.

For floral architecture and secret gardens, visit the Alfred B. McLay State Park Gardens. Over 1,000 acres of gardens surround Hall Lake where you can canoe, hike, bike and even ride a horse trail. It’s a magical place with jagged stone paths that showcase Florida’s lush flora.
Tallahassee is also home to many eco-adventures, including biking, hiking and canoeing trails. So much so that the area has been nicknamed Trailahassee. If you enjoy biking, head to the Munson Hills Mountain Bike Trail, which has trails for beginners and experienced cyclists. Over 700 miles of hiking trails ensure that you will find an adventure to your taste.
Do you feel like shopping? Walk down Market Street to the Hearth & Soul restaurant. The shop is divided into separate rooms, typical of a house… Living room, dining room, men’s and women’s locker rooms. A feeling of relaxation and comfort. There is so much to see here that you may have to walk through this aesthetically pleasing space twice.
