United Airlines announced that it will add 44 direct flights to Las Vegas in the week leading up to CES 2022. The airline has been awarded a total of 14,000 seats for this period and is working closely with tech companies like Google and GatesAir Gates at Microsoft on advertising deals.

The CES 2022 event will be held in Las Vegas from January 5-8, 2022, and will have over 1,600 technology firms from across the world exhibiting. United Airlines has recently stated that it is increasing its flight schedule in response to comments from its corporate clients and growing demand, making it easier for participants to get to the historic tech event.
The airline said today that 14 additional direct flights would begin in early January between Las Vegas and Boston, San Jose, California, and Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida. It will also add 30 more flights to Las Vegas from its major airports in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, and Washington, D.C./Dulles, totaling a 37 percent boost in capacity over the airline’s regular January schedule.

“The resumption of in-person conferences and events is a really promising indicator in the pandemic recovery,” said Ankit Gupta, senior vice president of Domestic Planning and United Express. “We’re adding nearly 80% of the capacity we did for CES in 2020, proving that business travel is on the rise and our customers are keen to reconnect with clients and colleagues,” says the company.
Between October 27 and November 9, searches for Las Vegas flights around the CES 2022 dates increased by 70% on United’s website compared to the previous two weeks. United recently conducted a study of its business clients, and over 20% of them believe that travel to meetings and conferences will approach pre-pandemic levels next year.
United will offer 81 flights to Sin City on the conference’s busiest arrival days (January 3-4), and 109 flights on the conference’s peak departure days (January 5-6). (January 8-10). United’s website now has tickets for all of these flights available for purchase.
