Carnival Cruise Line has already indicated that customers affected by further cancellations should receive an email about their options very soon. It will just take more time to continue the journey safely.

Cruise ships with a capacity of more than 100 passengers are currently allowed until day 17. March 2021 banned in Australian waters.

Stay of Quantum of the Seas in Singapore

Royal Caribbean has announced the extension of the cruise season for Quantum of the Seas from Singapore. This island country is one of the few to have allowed successful cruises in recent months.

Royal Caribbean’s decision was expected as Quantum of the Seas was originally scheduled to travel to Alaska for the summer season. The cruise line is very successful because short cruises departing from Singapore are only available to Singapore residents.

Royal Caribbean has been successfully sailing in Singapore since December 2020 and will continue to do so from 22. March to the 21st. June 2021.

The Quantum of the Seas is one of the few cruise ships to circumnavigate the globe, proving that customers really can sail safely. The shipping company has taken innovative measures to give customers a sense of calm while sailing.

The first humanoid robot bartender at sea

I thought Royal Caribbean was a cruise line that ran on robots! Well, MSC Cruises has opened the first humanoid robot bartender at sea, Rob!

For example, Rob will be working hard on the very futuristic MSC Starship Club facility on board MSC Virtusoa, which recently opened on 1. February 2021 was delivered to the cruise line. The club will feature 3D holograms, an immersive digital art wall and a 12-seat endless interactive digital table, allowing guests to explore space with their own personal galactic tour.

There will be dedicated vertical digital booths where guests can place their orders. Rob will then use all his skills to create the perfect cocktail. Thanks to the fact that he speaks eight languages, he will be able to serve many guests.

Rob will not only show off his dance moves, but also tell jokes, puzzles and cosmic quizzes, providing a fun bar experience just like being a real bartender.

The MSC Starship Club is a concept that has been running for almost six years. Cruise Line pushes the boundaries and encourages innovation to achieve them. The MSC Virtuosi will be sailing in the Mediterranean from April this year.

Immunisation requirements for Royal Caribbean Brigade Crew

Royal Caribbean has confirmed that crew members will need to be vaccinated before they can return to work on the cruise ship. In a recent letter to crew members, the company talks about the new opportunities the vaccine offers them for their return to work, as well as the protection of their families and guests on board.

So far, little is known about how the cruise line will administer the vaccine to thousands of crew members. The process will likely vary depending on where each crew member lives, when to board and, most importantly, when the ships are allowed to sail.

Royal Caribbean said it will continue to update the information its crew members need and asked for patience in reviewing the details.

No update yet on guests needing vaccinations. Much depends on the CDC and Conditional Shipping Order requirements.

Royal Caribbean does not cancel Canadian travel

Sticking with Royal Caribbean, it appears the company is not cancelling any of its Canadian cruises, including sailings, port visits and Alaska cruises.

The cruise line states that it is exploring options with the Canadian and US governments, as well as the International Cruise Line Association (CLIA). The cruise line is currently asking customers to hold their reservations until an alternative solution is found. Canada recently announced that cruise ships will be banned from Canadian waters for one year.

Carnival variations on longer sails

And we end with a great development from Carnival Cruise Line. For those who have booked a cruise of 8 days or more, new features have been detailed. A letter has been sent out outlining two options.

Option 1 allows customers to hold their reservations at the gate while the cruise line continues to explore options for longer trips. Guests automatically receive a $100 onboard credit when the trip is underway.

If this cruise is eventually cancelled and customers have not yet received an upgrade offer, they can instead enjoy the benefits that other cruise customers may receive while the service is suspended.

Under Option 2, customers can stay until March 31, 2021 at any time and receive a full refund. Future cruise credits and on-board balances, if any, may be retained on condition that the next cruise is booked before 30 September 2021 for a cruise booked before 30 September 2021 for a cruise booked before 30 September 2021 for a cruise booked before 30 September 2021. April 2023.

This reassures those who were worried about long car rides. In November 2020, Carnival announced that cruises longer than seven days – until October 31. 2021 – should be temporarily removed as a precaution until the data is compared with the CDC.

Full details of the options and our full report on this new development, published last night, can be found on the website.
